Difference between Modern Fit and Slim Fit – which shirt suits me?

Slim Fit, Body Fit and Modern Fit – what are the differences?

The introduction of the fit "Modern Fit" has caused confusion. While other names such as Slim Fit or Comfort Fit are self-explanatory, the term Modern Fit is unclear to many. How does a Modern Fit business shirt fit? Does "modern" in this case mean an unusual cut?
No, a Modern Fit men's shirt is about slight tailoring. If, for example, you order an OLYMP Luxor Modern Fit shirt, you will get a slightly tailored shirt that creates a slim silhouette. Neither too wide nor too close-fitting – just the way most of us want it for everyday wear. An earlier term for Modern Fit was also Slimline, for example at OLYMP.
A modern cut means a tailored cut. And for most brands it is called Modern Fit. Exceptions are Venti, where the slightly tailored product line is called Slim Fit, and Seidensticker – here there is the very slightly tailored "Modern" fit and the somewhat more strongly tailored "Tailored" fit – formerly "Schwarze Rose"
